Who is he?

Ahe served in the U.S. Army for over 12 years as an explosive ordnance disposal technician. In 2010, while deployed in Afghanistan, he lost both legs and a finger due to an IED explosion. Brian received the Bronze Star Medal, the Purple Heart, a Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal with ‘V’ for valor device. He then worked as an explosives specialist for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. As Florida has faced various environmental crises, Brian always had the state’s clean air and water top of mind.
