Who is he?

Dan grew up in a family deeply rooted in Texas, making him a proud sixth-generation Texan. From an early age, Dan aspired to serve his country as a Navy SEAL. His father’s career in the oil and gas industry took the family to various countries, including Ecuador and Colombia, where Dan attended high school and became fluent in Spanish. He graduated from Tufts University in 2006 and immediately entered SEAL training.uring his decade-long military service, he was deployed five times, including to Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2012, while serving in Afghanistan, Dan was injured by an improvised explosive device, resulting in the loss of his right eye.fter retiring from the Navy in 2016, he earned a Master of Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School in 2017. Transitioning into politics, Dan has focused on national security, veterans’ affairs, and energy policy.
