Who is she?

Congresswoman Delia Ramirez represents Illinois’ 3rd Congressional District, becoming the first Latina to serve in the Illinois delegation. A proud advocate for immigrant rights, she is deeply committed to social justice and equitable policies. Ramirez’s passion for immigrant issues is personal, as her husband is a Dreamer, protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. This experience has fueled her advocacy for comprehensive immigration reform, including a pathway to citizenship for undocumented individuals and protections for DACA recipients. In Congress, Ramirez also focuses on affordable housing, healthcare access, and community empowerment.

What’s she saying?

“It is important to remember who we are, where many of us came from, and why many of our families traveled here to be greeted by the Mother of Exiles, the Statue of Liberty.”
