Jason Smith

Who is he?

Born in St. Louis, he grew up in Salem and is a seventh-generation Missourian. Jason earned degrees in Agricultural Economics and Business Administration from the University of Missouri, followed by a law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law. Before joining Congress, he served in the Missouri House of Representatives, where he became the youngest Speaker Pro Tem in state history. He now serves as the Chair of the powerful Ways and Means Committee. Outside of politics, Jason is a fourth-generation owner of his family’s farm, reflecting his deep roots in rural Missouri.
