Who is he?

Josh Harder is a Democratic U.S. Congressman representing California’s 9th Congressional District, which includes Stockton, Tracy, and parts of San Joaquin County. First elected in 2018, Harder is known for his focus on issues like affordable healthcare, economic development, and water infrastructure in California’s Central Valley. Before entering politics, he worked in venture capital and as a business professor at Modesto Junior College. A native of Turlock, California, Harder earned degrees from Stanford University and Harvard Business School. He is dedicated to addressing the needs of agricultural communities and improving opportunities for working families in his district.
