Who is he?

Josh earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Stanford University in 2002 and a J.D. from Yale Law School in 2006. Before his political career, Hawley worked as a law clerk and later served as Missouri’s Attorney General, where he gained a reputation for challenging powerful entities to protect Missouri workers and families. As Missouri AG, he litigated against sexual abuse in the Catholic church, opioid manufacturers, and the Affordable Care Act while opening investigations into large tech companies’ privacy practices. In the Senate, he’s known for his conservative positions and was notably one of the first senators to announce he would object to the certification of the 2020 presidential election.

What’s he saying?

“No entity in the history of the world has collected more information about you than Google. My office wants to know what exactly Google does with all of the information it’s gathering.”
