Who is she?

An attorney and businesswoman, Katie is the first woman to be elected to the US Senate from Alabama. Born in Enterprise, Alabama, she earned both her bachelor’s degree in political science and her Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama. Before her election, Katie served as president and CEO of the Business Council of Alabama and was chief of staff for Senator Richard Shelby. She made history as the first woman elected to the U.S. Senate from Alabama and the youngest Republican woman ever elected to the Senate. Katie is married to former NFL player Wesley Britt, and they have two children.
