Who is he?

Congressman Russell Fry is a Republican representing South Carolina’s 7th Congressional District. Born in Surfside Beach, South Carolina, he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of South Carolina and a Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law. Before his election to Congress in 2023, Russell served in the South Carolina House of Representatives for seven years, where he was the Chief Majority Whip. He also chaired the SC House Opioid Abuse Prevention Study Committee, enacting 18 policy initiatives to combat opioid abuse. A former Eagle Scout, Russell’is top issues include defending the Constitution, government oversight, and energy production.
