Political Playlist – The Space Podcast

When you think of politics, you don’t necessarily think of ‘wellness’. But one of our co-founders, Anthony Barkett, was recently on the podcast, The Space, to discuss how Political Playlist is a perfect tool to learn about politics without sacrificing your mental health. You can listen to the podcast here on Spotify, apple podcast, or their website.

We like to joke at Political Playlist that all our friends are looking for a political juice cleanse, but we are here to teach you how to eat healthy and have a great exercise routine. Most people think reading politics is a chore and many don’t want anything to do with it – think about how many friends you have who have “just stopped reading the news”. But, it’s important to stay involved because when national movements and issues get brought to your attention, you can’t help but think, how did we get here in the first place? The answer usually lies in the political structures – broken or functioning – that lead to climactic, historical moments.

We are encouraging everyone to stay as involved post-election as they have been pre-election. We all have our daily routine that makes us feel good – whether it be journaling, exercising, meditating, or simply having dinner with your family. Political Playlist is a quick, easy way to stay involved without going crazy. It is a stress-free experience that delivers information you won’t even know your brain needed. Next time you take that yoga class or run the bubble bath, think for a moment about what you’ve done in your day to expand your knowledge of the world around you. It’s a different kind of ‘wellness’, but can be as soothing and interesting as all the rest.

We bring you concise information that usually won’t make it into your regular news cycle, so you can form your own political voice and engage with your future… while staying sane.
